Can SHOUTcast-compatible software connect to AzuraCast?
Compatible applications can work with the right settings. Icecast mode may be appropriate. Check your application and test with your own station connection details.
Can I keep my old listening URL?
That depends on your current setup and control of the website and domain. Keeping an old server URL is not automatic.

Keeping your current DJ software or moving a radio station? Note the application, version and connection modes. Server address, port, username and any mountpoints must match the new environment. Use the settings provided for your own station and do not post passwords in a public form.
Drechthosting offers managed AzuraCast Hosting. A SHOUTcast mode in software does not automatically mean you are ordering a separate SHOUTcast server. Discuss specific server technology or licence requirements beforehand, so you know which service you are buying and can test the connection.
You can then build an HTML5 player for listeners. A suitable direct HTTPS stream provides audio; our generator uses a public AzuraCast Now Playing URL for automatic artwork and track details. Read the guide before embedding it on your website.
