Softaculous can schedule backups for supported installations. Check that scheduled backups complete successfully, which data they contain and how to restore them. A configured schedule alone does not guarantee a usable backup.
New installation
Step 1. Log in to cPanel.
Step 2. Click under the category Software on Softaculous Apps Installer.
Step 3. Softaculous is now being opened. Select the software package you want to install. In this article we choose WordPress.
Step 4. Enter all required fields. Then click at the bottom of the page Additional Options.
Step 5. Select On Automatic backups the interval of the backups. We advise to have a backup made every day.
Step 6. Select On Backup Rotation how many backups you want available. If you choose 4, then after 4 days the oldest backup will be automatically deleted. If you choose 'No limit', no backup will be deleted, but your hosting package will be filled faster.
Please note: Softaculous backups can use your plan’s storage. Review available space and retention, and keep important copies in a suitable separate location. These self-configured copies differ from the cPanel backups provided through Backuply at Drechthosting. Ask which recovery points are available for your service.
Step 7. Click Install to start the installation. Automatic backups are activated immediately.
