A security warning on your website: what to do next

A notification from Google or the browser may indicate unsafe content. First examine the cause; only trying to delete the notification does not solve the problem.

View the information on the notification

Check the security notifications in Google Search Console when you own the website. Save examples of affected URLs and error messages for the investigation.

Research and restoration of the website

Have unwanted files, changes, and vulnerable parts checked. Restore the cause and take appropriate measures for accounts, updates and access. Only deleting infected content may be insufficient.

Follow the correct review

Google describes by type of problem whether an assessment is necessary and how to apply for it. Explain what has been recovered. An assessment is not a guarantee that the notification will disappear immediately.

Question-focused support

Please share your domain name and the notification with your support team. Do not send passwords in an ordinary contact message. Please only use an agreed secure method for access.
